Early Saturday morning, senior writer Liza Corsillo asked the Strategist Slack chat: Was AOC wearing Rothy’s mary janes (some of our favorite stylish, actually comfortable flats) at her Denver rally? As a self-proclaimed expert Rothy’s identifier — I did commute to work in downtown San Francisco from 2017 through 2020, after all — I said yes, she was. The just-visible blue stripe at the heel, tiny gold buckles, and ultrashort heels confirmed my suspicions. And while AOC’s leopard-print pair is no longer in production, you can still buy the same style, the Point Mary Jane II, in several solid colorways. Even better?
